I am writing to you from Paris and just watching the windows change into summer, the offering is brighter than I have seen  for many years…orange, turquoise, lime in many versions, Kellhy green and yellow…even red and fushia.

Colour blocking is King with combinations like orange with fushia. Looks great in a tunic with white  or black skinny PANTS OR SKIRTS.

The top ticket skirt for everyday wear is stretch tube… knee length or longer. The maxi skirt looks fabulous when pleated or ruched.

Pant are narrow  long or capri styles like Audrey wore in  Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Sometimes we see separates in contrast like a yellow cardigan with turquoise pants.

Florals are everywhere in pretty dresses.  These prints look like they were created on a computer…round shaping in dresses or simple sheaths.

Mary Katrantzou is the flavour of the moment for her colour mixes and plays with prints. Then there are the funky prints like roses with animal prints or just simple animal prints  for women who relate to a little wardrobe wildness….love the sheer animal fabrics.

The other palette is soft with pastel combos….quite youthful using textures like sheers, nylon wools, rubber fabrics and even plastics… a sort of Candy goes clubing feeling which probably has more appeal to our daughters than us.

Hair is boufont, 50s/60s with this theme. It’s the nice American girl look…cannot imagine any of us looking like a big ball of candy floss.

WINNER

A Wardrobe in Progress -by Diane

My wardrobe is a place to behold
It’s full of crap, it should be sold
But now I’ve discovered the Paula Collection
My coat hangers’ lives have new direction

They stretch their little arms with pride
No longer trying hard to hide
The fashion orphans bought from shops
The mismatched pants and shoes and tops

They hold the Paula threads with care
For quality like this is rare
And as for me, I’m learning fast
That so-called ‘bargains’ never last!

WINNER

A Wardrobe in Progress-by Margaret

My wardrobe is a place to behold
It’s full of crap, it should be sold
But now I’ve discovered the Paula Collection
God give me strength, I’m lost for selection

So where do I start to get my new look
Begin with the basics, then a belt with a hook
On to a jacket, some tights then a dress
Already I’m feeling just like a princess

My husband has fainted so off to the bank
I talk to the man and I’m really quite frank
No prob he declares (he’s a wonderful gent)
This investment is totally worth every cent

A Wardrobe in Progress – by Wendy

My wardrobe is a place to behold
It’s full of crap, it should be sold
But now I’ve discovered the Paula Collection
I’m heading in the right direction!

I’ll sort through the motley crew
And ruthlessly discard all but a few
Then the purchase of a few of Paula’s pieces is the key
To expanding my wardrobe and defining the style that is me!

A Wardrobe in Progress by Lucy

My wardrobe is a place to behold
It’s full of crap, it should be sold
But now I’ve discovered the Paula Collection
I’ve performed a wardrobe dissection

Paula helped me to take control
It was in with the new and out with the old
No more hubby saying with care
“You’ve so many clothes and nothing to wear!”

My clothes are of the stylish kind
and there’s always something to wear I find
My friends all say “WOW look at you –
You look fantastic – you really do!”

A Wardrobe in Progress by Gertrude

My wardrobe is a place to behold
It’s full of crap, it should be sold
But now I’ve discovered a classy stunning collection
Straight forward, sleek no confection

It’s directional, sharp & chic
I desperately want it, but it won’t come cheap!
No more “What shall I wear?”
No more “Oh gosh this will need an iron”

It’s now so simple
I just wear ‘Paula Ryan’ …

A Wardrobe in Progress by Jan

My wardrobe is a place to behold
It’s full of crap, it should be sold
But now I’ve discovered the Paula Collection
This surely deserves a closer inspection!

Impatient to see just what is in store
Willing and wide eyed I cross the floor
And there before me there’s no denyin’
The ultimate style of Paula Ryan

I can’t go back, not now that I’m here
It’s captured my heart and draws me near
My wardrobe at home it whispers so clear
Relent, rejoice…. replace the old gear!

A Wardrobe in Progress by Anita

My wardrobe is a place to behold
It’s full of crap, it should be sold
But now I’ve discovered the Paula Collection
I have a dozen outfits for selection

Whether black, navy or white
I’m sure I will look fine every night!

Under each blog posting is a line with ‘leave a comment’ which is where you can post your poem.
